Polar FT4 Glitch?

The past 2 days when using my HRM while working out, it's been working fine, and then all of a sudden it says my heart rate is around 211. I know my heart rate isn't really that high, because it's never been that high, and I was doing a machine that I do often, at the same speed and intensity. I'm not sure if it's some sort of glitch or what's going on with it, but I was wondering if anyone knows of a problem like this?
Also, when washing it, I normally just wash it in the sink, but I'm wondering if I can put it in the washer with the rest of my clothes? With laundry detergent as well.
Thanks!

You are supposed to rinse the band before and after each use and wash it in the washing machine after every 5th use.0

LIkely a skin contact problem. See if it recurs.0

I have an FT4 and if the strap is not wet enough you get bizarre readings sometimes...0
