How sick of hearing 'muscle weighs more than fat" are you? I hear it I wanna scream, A pound is a pound no matter what. It SEEMS like it weighs more because it has less VOLUME than fat. Fat is icky fluffy and lumpy. Muscle is compact streamlined and taught. But a pound of fat and a pound of muscle are both a POUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!:grumble: I hate when people misconstrue this

Which weights more, a pound of lead, or a pound of feathers?

    Yup, that's right.

Sounds like people are confusing weight with density! Big difference!

That statement is used in the context of comparing "volume".
