Burned by HRM Electrode?

This is probably beyond a stupid question. I just purchased the polar ft 7 once I used for the first time this morning. Off topic, but this thing is amazing, I love it.

But anyway, the only issue I have is while I was running as well as the rest of the day I have a sharp pain on my west right where the electrode laid. I really don't think it was too tight it actually felt very good, but I have no idea what else could be wrong.

Anyone?

I purchased one and have used the same exact model three times in two days now. I don't wear it all day so that is a little strange. I just wet mine like it said and strapped it on. I wouldn't think it would cause pain. Perhaps the pain is from something else all together.
