So here's the menu for lunch today. Other than salads, what do you recommend? I don't like ham (or any variation, such as proscuitto, salami, or sausage) or mushrooms. And the panini's there aren't that good.

I've been trying to input various items and come up with calculations and have been driving myself nuts. Any advice? My favorite is the alfredo (really good!) but I feel somehow that that is the incorrect choice for my diet so I'm trying to come up with something delicious, better for me, and not a salad.

Thanks!

I think if you do not want a salad I would do pizza. Load it up with the veggies you like to help fill you up faster. Just my thoughts anyway.

I like to do a broth-based soup and half of a sandwich (no cheese, no mayo) or salad.

I also like veggie pizza with no cheese.

However, if you really love the alfredo then I think you should get it. See if they have a half-size portion (or split it with someone or immediately box half of it up). I'd still cut the portion in half again and load up on veggies or salad (no cheese, olive oil and vinegar dressing).

There's no reason to deny yourself the foods you love. If you can measure it out and use portion control then go ahead and enjoy your lunch!

ETA: I just re-read your post and realized you don't like the paninis. Also, I wanted to add that you might be able to get a kid-size meal of pasta.
