Plateau Help

Here's my scenario. I lost 19 pounds in about 2.5 months on MFP. I did it by lowering my calories at an average of 1000/day with one semi-free day of up to 2000 calories. At the end of the week, my average was around 1000-1200/day. I didn't do any type of exercise during that time. 5 weeks ago, I decided to add strength training. I just did 3 days/week of the strength training from the Chalean Extreme series, no cardio. I ate some of my exercise calories and averaged 1200 calories/day. I did this for 3 weeks and gained a pound, but I did lose a few inches. During the last 2 weeks, I stopped the strength training because I've been so busy with traveling. I've kept eating 1200 calories a day, no exercise during this time and I've lost about a half pound in these last 2 weeks. So over the last 5 weeks, I've gained a half a pound, but still a few inches lost from my hips, thighs, waist, chest.
I don't know if this is a plateau or not, I'm currently at 110 and want to get down to 105. I want to gain muscle, so I'm going to start strength training and cardio, but I'm debating on waiting to get to 105 pounds, but I don't know if that's going to even happen. What should I do to get out of this plateau and start losing again? Those anyone have any stories of what helped them?
