Goals

I was just wondering if anyone else had noticed this. I was originally set up with a goal of 1270/week in order to lose 1 lb/week. I went to change my goals about a week ago (I'd lost about 12 lb) and when I did that, it adjusted my calorie intake to 1260 (I actually didn't make any changes). I decided to do it again this week and my intake was changed to 1240. I am assuming this is happening because as I am losing weight I don't need as many calories, but why isn't it happening on its own when I enter a lower weight?
