Pepsi addiction!

Does anybody out here know how to kick the pepsi addiction?

    I just did it slowly and weaned myself off it! start out with 1 less glass a day, and then go down from there!

    My husband drinks soda water because it's fizzy. I substitue tea when I'm having a real craving for something other than water.

    If you are drinking one right after the other, force yourself to drink the same amount of water in between sodas.

    IN the last 2 weeks, I've only had one can of diet pepsi. I've switched to Lipton's flavored green teas. Has the caffeinine in it and good flavor.
    Before then, I was drinking up to 3 cans a day, then I cut back to only having a can with dinner.
    I told myself that for every 12 oz of soda I drink, I have to drink an additional 12 oz water outside of my normal 64 oz of water. So that helped too.

    I pretty much went cold turkey with Mountain Dew. I was drinking 5-7 cans a day before I started MFP. Now I might have 3 or 4 a week. I just set my mind to drink water instead. And I feel 100 times better than I did before. Although I still like the taste of mountain dew, it isn't controlling my actions. (And all that money I am saving!!!) Good luck.

    Start by mixing 3/4 of a glass of pepsi with 1/4 plain seltzer....then half and half...then 1/4 pepsi to 3/4 seltzer. That's how I kicked the diet pepsi habit. Good luck :smile:
