So I just added sodium to my diary tracker. Apparently I'm really 'low' on sodium. It sort of surprised me, but apparently im 500mg-1000mg low each day. Is that a problem? I can't imagine that I should make an effort to get MORE sodium. That seems backwards.

No, not really an issue, the default on this site is a bit high...I usually try to stay around 1500mg but try to never go over 2000mg a day.

You need around 500mg of sodium per day to LIVE. I would say 1,000mg is a good goal!

    No problem at all!

500mg is all you need to stay above ... if you can be between 1000-2000 or 1000-1500mg of sodium a day then that's awesome.
