1200 Calorie Day

I went to a dietitian and he said for my size I should eat 1500 if I want to stay the same, but if I want to lose a pound per week, I need a daily deficit of 500 calories, and a weekly one of around 3000 by a combination of both food and exercise.
He also said that one SHOULD NOT eat back exercise calories.

Unless I am ill, I am hungry on 1200 cals a day, but I need to stick at that level as when I go up to 1500, I don't lose.0
