Constipation!?

Great topic I know, but I want to put it out there as I dont know if anyone else has had this problem? Since Ive started on my diet, eating 1200 cals per day and exercising every day (which i didnt do before) I cant seem to 'go' to the toilet everyday like I had been. Im drinking water, eating a balanced diet.. Im not sure what is wrong :-/

    Loads of people have this problem, myself included! I think even if you have a very healthy diet, just the fact there's less volume than you're used too slows down its transit through the body.

    Lentils, apples and a strong cup of tea do the job for me. Or a nice glass of red in the evening. Not all together!

    How much fibre are you getting though?

    I aim for 25-30 gms a day.

    Don't worry, you're not alone.

    I'm focussing on having a lot of fibre at the moment because I don't think I was having enough, and obviously, fibre helps with this problem!

    If this doesn't work I'm going to try sennakot to see if that helps.

    30g of prunes with your breakfast (every other day or so) - works wonders, trust me!
