What is considered WATER?

I drink green tea (no calories) and Powerade Zero (No Calories). Are those considered water or is water, just plain old water? I use the half of your body weight in ounces convention so I need to be drinking 9 eight oz glasses of "water" per day. Wondering if my green tea and powerade zero counts? Thanks!!

I heard its any water based drink without caffine thats under 10 calories.0

I personally don't because even though they are zero calories they have other things in them. Also is your tea caffinated? If it's not you could count it as water but I personally wouldn't.0

Tea and Powerade are not water.
The flavorings you can put in water are of course water. But you don't want to use them all the time. I consider any flavored water is water though..such as vitamin water and propel.0 -
Honnestly, I only count water as water. But other people do count teas and things as water. it is up to you. Even though you are drinking zero calorie things they still have chemicals in them. I try to limit those things to only once a day. I do generally need my caffine!0

water = H20 the question is how do you consume our h20 you can consume it by coke = not good or plain ole h20 = good0

To me. water is plain H2O with nothing added which I log as water intake..........I try to drink 8 glasses a day. I also drink herbal tea (0 cals) but I log this as a snack, along with any other drinks. :drinker: :drinker: :drinker:

usually the general rule is if it is non-carbonated and non-caffeinated it counts. Though I usually just have plain water or put some crystal light in it.0

my question if our body know what water is so it will take from our food as well. it does not say oh hey bob clear water today nice to see like store it i mean cucumbers have water so do you body say hey bob no can do????? the body smart but we are the one that came up with names not the body it process the way it suppose to. always been a wonder to me. i drink decaff coffee and 64 oz of water with lemon sometimes crystal light and i still pee all day some days no coffee and i still pee all day so0

Yes, I drink plain water too. I like the benefits of green tea so I will continue to drink it (and the caffeine). But I get so bored with water that I just started drinking the powerade zero. I probably get about 6 cups of plain water a day and then the tea and powerade and then 1 cup of milk which I wouldn't even think to count. I don't like those drink flavor mixes. They seem salty to me or something. Even the powerade seems a little salty.0

and another question some days i really hate water so i gulp it really fast like 36 oz in the early and then later on the last 36 does that matter how i sip???? hum im miss wonder all day today. i figure it doesn't matter i get great results regardless..............0

I count green tea as water. I think it's pretty much anything that has no calories and no added sugars.0

i drink 1 cup of green tea a day with nothing other than the green tea leaves. I consider it water. i log it as water.0

I only count water as water. I'll drink other things in the day (like tea, coffee, etc) but will count them as snacks, even if they are 0 calories.0
