I used to own a 2004 Yamaha R6. Haven't ridden in about a year or so. And that was on a borrowed bike. I have my eye on the Yamaha R1. I would love to learn to race someday...but not in the current shape I am in LOL

I ride with my husband, does that count? Haha! My original plan was to lose weight and get my own bike. However, by the time I'm going to get this weight off, it'll be time to start making babies! But for now, I ride on the back and love it! So happy to see so many smart people here who wear full protective gear!

I only ride with my husband too and I love it. I don't know if I'll ever go for my own license. I don't really have the desire to do so. But last summer my husband bought a VTX (He also has a CBR) so that we could take rides together and I found that I really enjoy riding with him. This is a huge thing, because we don't have a lot in common and it is nice to find something we both enjoy doing together.

Rode into work this morning... almost didn't wear my jacket since its going to be in the 90s! Too bad I'm a sucker for safety! lol... thank god its a textile and has vents everywhere... it was so nice first thing this morning... wish I didn't have a birhday party after work to attend or I'd go out for a nice ride on the nice curvy roads.

I have a Kawasaki Vulcan 500, blue and beautiful! I haven't been riding long, got my license last November. It's been sitting with a dead battery for a while now, just been trying to scrounge money for new battery and tires. Almost there!

Speaking of, where do you ladies buy your tires, get oil changes, etc?

I ussually ask my friend/mechanic where to buy tires or have him order them for me... he also does my oil changes .. nice to know people who work on cars/bikes

I order my tires online and have a guy that puts them on and do my own oil changes. I love tinkering with the bikes

Hi. Lady rider too. I have a Harley Super Glide and ride every chance I get. No helmet law in SC but do not leave my yard without my helmet on and always wear jeans (usually not a jacket in the heat though)!!! Excited to see so many other lady riders. Feel free to friend me if you like. Safe riding ladies (and guys too).

I've been riding with hubby for about a year now. We have a Can-am Spyder RT (touring). The past couple of months,he's been teaching me how to drive it. Not doing too bad - just need to get used to it because I've never "driven" a bike before. Even if our state didn't require it, we would wear helmets, boots, etc.

Hello fellow riders.. please tell me everyone on the east coast went out on a ride yesterday or saturday.. both days were beyond gorgeous! I only got out for about an hour yesterday but it was soooooooo great!

just found this post, good one! im a moto rider too, only for a season and a half so far, i have a suzuki TU250 and love it! still havent found many women riders in my area who want to ride together in groups yet though, have a feeling that would be super fun.

Hi, I ride a Harley Sportster 883 and am in the UK so a helmet is a MUST here.

I started on a Suzuki SR 125 (bless) and had a Kwack 500, and a Suzuki SV650.

The sun is out here so I'm loving being back on her.

I currently ride ***** on the back of my other halfs Yamaha Thundercat, love going out on it but cant wait to get my own!
im saving to take my test in august hopefully woop! would love to get a GSXR but depends on money!
Always ride in full gear (my other half does to and would allow me on the back untill i had all my kit ... hes very cautious after a spill when a lorry pulled out in front of him about 4 years ago!)
I wear my Arai, leathers, Knox Aegis back/kidney protector (my other got it for me for my 21st as there isnt one in my jacket), boots and gloves!
yes it gets very hot (and my leathers arnt perforated ..fail!!) but then here in the uk we dont exactly get alot of warm weather!
