Sooo yeah as an artist and avid Etsy supporter (seller and buyer!) I was completely sickened today to find out that all those lovely things i loved and bought from UO (urban outfitters) were most likely stolen just as they stole from an artist recently and worse off from street fair crafters. People put hard work into their art and someone like UO steals it mass produces it and sells it at a fraction of the price making the actual artist obsolete.

I've decided to never shop there again. I'm also spreading the word because i want your opinion. I hope that you might consider the same.

It's immoral for any company to steal from artists like this! Supporting companies that do this just perpetuates the problem. I run into similar problems as the convention mgr for Troma films. Just about every convention I work at, I have to go around the first day & confiscate bootleg dvds from vendors. People are greedy & interested in making money the easy way, by having some other artist do the work for them.
