Im trying to figure out how to use the sparkpeople recipe calculator and everytime i try to use it i get so frustrated:explode: ...there has got to be a easier way! Maybe im doing something wrong here?

Im making home made chillie here are the ingredients:
4cans of Great Value light red kidney beans
1(29oz) can of GV Tomato puree
1pk of the mccormick original chillie seasoning
1lb of the extra lean walmart brand ground beef

I can't find any of these ingredients on the sparkpeople website..

And,how do i know how many servings there are in the pot? Im going to have one cup of this..

Somebody please help me:ohwell:

i think sparkpeople is way to complicated, maybe try calorieking.com or healthygirl.gov or hungrygirl.com I have used calorieking and it was fairly easy. I haven't visited the other sites yet but they were recommended to me by a exercise coach so.... hope one of these helps!
  • Thank you metco89...i will try those now! :flowerforyou:

That is my frustration with Sparkpeople calculator.
I mean I use it but there are times they just don't have what I need.
Not much you can do about it though except find a better calculator

Easiest one I've found is located here--very simple.

I can't stand using that Sparkpeople recipe calculator either. I'd rather write it out by hand and do the math then use that site!

There is also a very good calculator on nutritiondata.com.

It allows you to add food and it also gives you calories for 100 g. Which is great if you weigh your food.
