Hey everyone, I am Lesley 27 and trying my hardest to get this weight off. I have a big problem. I hate breakfast foods. I can barely tolerate eating in the morning but as far as breakfast foods go. Thats a big negative. I do not like oatmeal, I am not a fruit fan although I love bananas. Any cereal I like it loaded with sugars and such. So where do I go from here. I do not like eggs. I do not eat pork. If anyone has any ideas, suggestions, tips, anything I would be so grateful. Please and Thank you in advance.

Happy losing,
Lesley

You could try smoothies in the morning. They're delicious and filling :)

I've been eating a lot of yogurt for breakfast, my wif elikes greek yogurt (it has more protein). Plain yogurt with banana is good, you can add some low sugar cereal or mueslie as filler.

Have you tried different combinations for oatmeal? Like adding honey and cinnamon? Or adding some fruit as well? My bf doesn't like breakfast food either but the important part is that you get something with protein and fiber that will keep you full until lunch time. Maybe make a sandwich with whole wheat bread, turkey, lettuce, whatever and eat that instead. You said you liked bananas, so maybe put some peanut butter on that and have that for breakfast. Hope that helped!

You don't have to eat breakfast food for breakfast. Sometimes if I am not "feeling" the typical breakfast foods, I will make a sandwich with lunchmeat or PB&J. You could really eat anything for breakfast. It's just making sure you eat something in the morning and not waiting until lunch. :-) Good luck!

Don't eat breakfast food. You like bananas? Have a banana and a protein like half a chicken breast. Smoothies are good if you'll eat them.
  • Thomas muffins are great with Canadian Bacon, toast and sugar free jam, low calorie whole wheat bread toasted with slice of cheese.

Thanks everyone. I can handle a Lunch meal for bfast and I have not tried smoothies. I have been drinking the nestle instant carnation bfast and i could make a smoothie out of that and a banana. ahhh I feel better already. The only kind of oatmeal I liked was the fruit and cream oatmeal.

This. Who says you have to eat breakfast foods? I eat breakfast foods for dinner all the time- nothing wrong with a turkey sandwich at breakfast if that's what you want! Or a banana then make up the calories later on...find what works best for you. The important thing is eating SOMETHING after being asleep all night but really doesn't matter if it is a bowl of oatmeal with blueberries and milk, or if it is 1/2 banana mashed onto a wholewheat pita.
