I just received my Polar FT4 in the mail today. When i purchased it online there was a "male" and "female" version. Ofcourse they screwed up and sent me the "male". Is there really a difference?? They look identical with the exception of the color.

Only difference is the size and color. You should be fine :-)

The female one is a bit lighter and the strap is a bit smaller. Technically they are the same. But mind you the pink one for females and red one for males is more expensive than the gold one for females and silver one for males. Which one did you order and which one did they send you??

I ordered the female one which according to the website shows a silver one but they sent me the gold one. I guess since you enter in your sex however it doesnt really matter??

Try the chest strap. If it fits and the watch doesn't feel too heavy then you can continue. But do let them know and get it changed if they say they would. Ask for some freebies while you are at it
