How is someone supposed to know that it's potentially dangerous, and a complete waste of money if they don't ask questions? How is someone supposed to educate themselves, if when they ask questions people are rude?

Because you're supposed to use the search function to see if your question has already been asked before you ask it for the millionth time. If that had been done, the OP would have seen that this question has been posed many times before, and answered as unnecessary and potentially dangerous.
