Hello Everyone!

So I am very new to this site. I added the app on my phone a couple months ago, and never got around to messing with it. I finally decided to buckle down and get on here. I hope to post every day, tracking my nutrition and fitness, we'll see how it goes! I am very excited and hopeful.
A little bit about why I am here.
I have been struggling with my weight since about 2007, the year I graduated high school. I was 125lbs upon graduation and am now weighing in around 150lbs. I went through re-constructive surgery on my foot in December, and that was a huge struggle to over come. I've been in chronic pain for the past 3 years or so. I suffer from falling arches, and my condition is so bad, that the ligaments were tearing from my ankles and surrounding bones. I had the surgery to correct the left foot, and if it turns out ok, I will be having surgery on the right foot in the coming years.
Before surgery, I weighed in at 160lbs, the heaviest I have ever been. I was in chronic pain, and could not stand or walk for more than five minutes without my knees and hips giving out on me, or just being in severe pain. Let me remind you, I am 21 years old, played sports my whole life. So this was devistating. I am feeling much better now, and have been going to the gym regularly for the past month.
I try to attend the gym at least 4 days a week, and am working on my cardio by using the elliptical (since I can't run obviously)
I have been doing weight training, alternating between arms/core and legs. I have lost around 10lbs since my surgery (mostly due to not eating immediatly after surgery)
I have been stagnant at 150lbs for awhile now, and I am hoping to take the next step to get down to my goal weight of 125-130lbs.
I am hoping to find a great community of people here to support and motivate me. I am eating healthier than I ever have, cutting back on the pepsi (my weakness) and working out. I can already see a difference (even though I haven't lost weight) in the way my clothes fit, and just how much better I feel.
I will post on here periodically, updating whoever cares, how I am doing with my recovery and how my weight loss is going. I hope to lose around 1-2lbs a month, putting me around 144-147lbs in 3 months.
Best of luck to everyone else out there! Here we go!

    Hey there!

Sounds like you have a great plan to work around those foot problems...good for you! It must have been incredibly devastating, but the fact that you're working through it is a testament to your willpower. (:

Feel free to add me, and good luck!
