sweet deprived!

I gave up sweets a couple of days ago, best thing i did so far!!!! Now today I'm really tired and have a big headache. Is this due to not giving myself caffiene or am i just tired??

    If you have removed big amounts of sugar from your diet, yea, you could be reacting. Especially of the chocolate kind!! Chocolate has caffeine in it. Carbonated drinks too (Mountain Dew, coke, Pepsi).

    It'll pass. And it is a very good thing to do. My BF stopped drinking Mountain Dew and has lost 5 lbs.

    Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I haven't had pop for over 10 years. Being an athlete, i didn't want to risk it. But, lately i was chocolate crazy! thanks again!

    Yep, sugar and caffeine addiction causes exactly those symptoms. You can either push through it for a day or 3 or wean your self off a bit more slowly. When I first tried Atkins (no caffiene, no sugar) I felt like I had malaria for 3 horrible days (and then it passed).

    ps - Atkins = bad!
