Hi all,

I am looking to buy a HRM in the near future. Do any of you have ones that you like? I am thinking either a Polar FT4 or maybe a FT7? Do any of you have either of these? Do you like them? Do you think the calorie calcultaions are at lease close to accurate (I know they will never be perfect)?

Are there other ones that you have tried and love?

I know this topic has been done 1000 times but I am having a hard time really sorting through all the information. Any thoughts are appreciated!

-Kara

I have a Polar Ft7 and I absolutely love it! So easy to use and set up... I seriously could not have made a better decision.

Honestly the only difference between the Ft4 and the FT7 are the colors, price, how many training sessions they hold and the FT7 lets you up load your data to the polar website.

I have the FT7 and love it, tried the timex (2 different ones) and they were too difficult to program and use. The FT7 is great I use it about 6 times a week.

A friend of mine also has the F7 and I have HRM envy! It's pretty accurate and I need to get one for myself.

I have the Polar FT4. It's the least expensive of the polar HRMs but works great. It holds 10 training sessions and you can manually add your training sessions to the polar website but this wasn't important to me. It calculates calories burned in a workout, it automatically sets your HR zone based on the set up info you provide (height, weight, age, et cetera). It comes with a chest strap and little computer that attaches to the strap. I got mine via Amazon.

Another FT7 owner here. I love mine. I've only lost sync once and that's because my sensors weren't wet.

Stay away from the Sportline Duo 1010... That's all I can say! Bought one yesterday, and I'm returning it right this minute! Very difficult to use, very inacurate...
    I'm gonna get myself a Polar ft4! ;-)

I have the FT4 and love it! It's very basic, but just what I needed!

Kara, Polar is the absolute best brand of HRM out there. I've used several Polar models over the years and they are pretty close to ECG accurate and if you set it up properly you'll get accurate calorie counts as well.

The FT series is great for all types of workouts.

I have a FT and I love it.

I got mind off of ebay brand new still in the box for 20 dollars cheaper than retail price. It works great and it's comfortable.
It's super easy to setup and only took me a few minutes to figure out how to read it and scroll through the different readings and such.
