Can I eat Chinese tonight?

I think I still have over 1000 calories to go to even be at net. I'm at home with the kids by myself tonight, and there is nothing in the house other than Lean Cuisine..and that won't help me reach my goal. Would the sodium etc be through the roof if I got brown rice/steamed veg/chicken from a delivery Chinese place? LOL! It comes with brown or white sauce on the side. Maybe even a hot and sour soup? I don't want to wreck my whole day, but I'm trying to still wrap my brain around the eating MORE and losing weight thing. Thanks guys!

Sodium, yes. But you could still order something healthy!0 -

Eat what you want but eat (sensibly). Cut calories but don't worry about every stinking one.0 -

LOL! I know. :-D I just haven't lost weight in almost a year. Not kidding. I've gained a couple of pounds...hoping of muscle from Body Pump...but that's it...so I'm trying the whole "eating more" suggestion, but I still want to lose weight! I have about 10-15 pounds to go.0 -
Eat some noms and be sure to drink LOTS of water to flush out sodium if that's what you're worried about.0

Sure, You actually just gave me the idea to go get some Chinese. Just be wary that all their chicken (sesame, orange, kung pao etc) is usually fried before they put the sauces on it, so stay away from that if you want to keep it low fat.
I like getting beef and broccoli and giving all the beef to my bf, lol. He likes that deal too. I don't suggest lo mein or any of those noodles, because they're cooked in basically straight sodium, haha!
I'd say get brown rice and veggies and maybe tofu (if thats your thing, iit!)

The thing here is portion control. keep it on a a decent portion, and you'd be fine.0 -
If you've been good all week, then go for it, even if it puts you over. One day isn't going to roll back all your progress, and it will be good for you psychologically.0

Chinese food isn't as bad as you think. Sure the sodium isn't good for you, but drink a little more water. I had chicken and broccoli stiry fry last night with some white rice and it was only around 600 calories.0

garlic pork and jalapeno chicken....they tend not to be fried and are yummy. if it is a buffet pick foods with tons of veggies and are not fried, if they have mongolian style where you pick the items and the cook it in front of you the better.0

Getting the veg steamed and sauce on the side is surprisingly low cal. having the sauce on the side means you use a lot less so the sodium isn't awful at all. I find I can use a tsp instead of the loads of sauce they bathe the food in.0
