Easiest lunch/dinners ever!!
Ziploc Zip N Steam bags are great for making quick, healthy meals. If you haven't tried these bags...you're missing out! You can find them by the ziploc baggies; they are less than $3 a package. You can use them to cook raw or frozen fish, chicken, or shrimp...steam vegetables, steam potatoes.........you get the point.
My favorite combo:
4oz Tilapia Filet or 4oz raw chicken pounded thin
1/2 cup raw zucchini
1/2 cup raw yellow squash
1/2 cup raw red/orange/yellow bell pepper
2 Tbsp Laury's Herb & Garlic with lemon marinade
Mrs Dash seasoning and/or Lemon Pepper Seasoning
Throw it all in the bag together...cook on high for 4-41/2 minutes.
Easy as pie......but with a lot less calories.
The reciple above has around 160 calories! 20+ grams of protein.
I like to throw these together in the morning before work, and by the time I eat lunch at 12:30 the marinade has had a chance to really flavor the fish & veggies.
You can try it with any combination of chicken, veggies, & marinades.
*If you use chicken...I recommend starting with raw chicken instead of frozen or it gets a little dry. Also, if you have a meat tenderizer I recommend pounding the chicken out thinner before you cook it so it cooks more evenly and stays nice and moist.
Enjoy!!
