11pm at night, 700 calories left. should I eat?

So i had a crap day and wasn't hungry. I just got off work and after logging what I've eaten today, realized I still have 700 calories, not counting any exercise I did loading and unloading equipment and working.

The issue is it's 11pm. I'm frickin hungry now, but I'll probably sleep in an hour. Should I just let it be, or try and eat at least some of them before sleeping?

    I would try high protein, low carbs. Can you make some scrambled eggs/ egg whites with some lunch meat and some cheese?

    If you are hungry you should eat something. Just try to make it something light and healthy, maybe a protein shake or a fruit smoothie:smile:

    Definitely eat something, especially if the 700 is what's needed to reach 1200...........if you're hungry and you haven't posted your exercise calories, go ahead and eat.....ditto on the high protein....you don't have to eat ALL the exercise calories, just enough to make the minimum mark, at least.

    I agree with sue26, make it lite so you don't have an uncomfortable sleep. Maybe a yogurt, fruit, or some other lite healthy food.

    i don't have this problem very often, but when i do, liquid calories save me - fruit smoothies or juice, protein shakes (i don't drink protein shakes, but they provide healthier liquid calories than, say, a soda), stuff like that.
  • If you're hungry, just eat. Honestly, I;ve done that before and I wake up in the middle of the night STARVING. So sometimes its better to just have milk and cookies and let it be, even if its not the full 700 calories, something that will help you sleep :)

    Yep some scrambled egg and a glass of milk (from your food diary it seems you have those in the house :-) )

    if your crave is real bad just have 1 can of soup and 1 piece of toast it always work for me...good luck

    Have something small to eat. You should eat if you are hungry. Otherwise, you might wake up in the middle night hungry. I did that and ended up having a bowl of cereal a 3:30 am.
