I have been on this site for a while I just never used the forums. I am doing well with weight loss my only problem is being a vegetarian it is hard to get the protien I need. I drink Protein shakes and such but still feel I am not getting enough protein. Thanks all.

It is easy to get protein being veg. You can eat low fat or fat free dairy - I love cheese! Plus, do not forget the beans, legumes, and soy products (just dont go overboard with the soy as it make cause you to bloat a bit). You just have to make sure to have some protein with every meal.

try this for a sample day:

Breakfast : soy milk, total cereal, strawberries
    snack : cottage cheese, pear
lunch: black bean and cheese on tortillas (2) plus lots of veggies
    snack: carrots, ranch dressing
dinner: Garden burger (patty only, with lots veggies on top) and homemade fries baked with a toss of olive oil and Mrs Dash seasoning.

this comes to a total of only 1266 calories and 62 grams of protein.

now I am thinking I may have this tomorrow!!!
  • Thanks for the ideas I will try that
