You know you're the parent of a cat when:
You hear that strangely muffled (my mouth is full) meooowwww and proceed to praise your four footed child for showing you that she knows how to hunt.
" and look mom and dad it's still alive (yeachhhhh!) you can play too:noway: !!!"
Pleased to be rid of a pest carrying, house chewing rodent....but do we really have to admire your skills????
ezzie
PS. Or are we the children of a cat whose trying to teach us how to get rid of the darn things????? Things that make you go 'HMMMMMM????'

Heh, I hear that muffled "meeeeerow" from our cat all the time - only problem is he's usually hunting yarn balls or underwear. :laugh:0

Mine prefers to leave the corpse on the doorstep, all too often decapitated  Fortunately she does that less often as she matures, now she leaves them by the side of the house instead . . .0

My cat does this too! He doesn't get out much but when he does sneak out undetected he always brings one back to share.0 -
That is so funny because my son was telling me the other day about a neighborhood cat that he had befriended and my son came out of his apartment one day and found a dead mouse on his doorstep. I guess the cat adopted my son as his person also.  :laugh:0

our kitty is an inside cat so she "hunts" our food from the kitchen and puts it in our bed. we woke up to a whole package of hot dog buns ripped out of the package and crumbs everywhere lol0

The little rascle that we found has so much energy and will play for hours! I got him a few little fake mice, and he will carry them around room to room and just keep himself amuzed! And in between he takes naps in my bra's.
Our other cat likes to play on our balcony and we never see her do it, but some how she brings in the little lizards that live down here and she will play with them for days, until we either catch them, or find them...well...broken.0 -
u know if your cat brings u dead animals, it is because they love u. u feed and care for them, so it is their way of trying to feed u. i learned that while working as a wildlife officer. just an interesting fact.0

I used to have an indoor/outdoor cat and came home a couple of times, to find feathers ALL over the kitchen/dining room. :noway: What a mess!
I have a dog now. Not so messy. But I do miss having a cat.0 -
Our cat goes outside a lot during the day and hunts...for GRASSHOPPERS! She's obsessed with the things. :noway:0
