Okay so I am sitting at work and need to vent on how stupid people are and how they never listen (and I am talking about my co-workers in the field not my 911 callers this time hahaha) ..ughh. I know this is not anything to do with weight but ohhhh my goodness!!! These people stress my nerves LOL :-)

okay thanks for the vent

It's good to vent! Venting de-stresses you which IS conducive to weight loss! But yes, I know how that goes. I hate when my coworkers sit around and complain. I guess I figure I'm trying to better myself and maybe if they have a problem, they should do the same thing.

do you dispatch all emergency response units? or just specific ones like fire, EMT or police?

I'm a cop in the Air Force, and I prefer to self-dispatch and remain in the area of where another patrol is at. Or, if I'm closer to the alarm activation, I'll come over the net and let the desk know I'm close by and head that way until otherwise directed...

I dispatch all emergency response units. Self dispatching is not good when its on ems/fire side. LE side its not as bad bc normally it means a 2nd unit responding with another. HOWEVER if the First due fire company has told the other fire company to standby and he will let them know if they are needed and then the 2nd due fire company decides to want tones drop to respond anyways..thats where i have the problem. And when a medic unit decides to over ride what the primary fire company has said as well. thats what i mean by self dispatching. I dispatch for 26 fire departments 11 ems units, a sheriff dept and 4 municipalities

In that case, tell 'em to stop being dumbasses!

...maybe radio discipline dictates you shouldn't say that, but I'm sure you couls say something professional that basically meens to pull their heads out of their *kitten*...
