I got woke up at 3 am with my stomach rumbling and making lots of weird noses...so I got up and ate a yogurt...went and laid back down and it was still doing it! So I got up and took some pepto...which didn't help either. :grumble: So I ate some grapes and two spoons of pb...and now it's 6 am and I give up. grrr! I'm tired. *sighs* I think it's probably gas or something? I don't know. I can feel it moving around in there.

Hmmm, could be excess wind, do you eat slowly?
If you don't eat slowly, you swallow a lot of air which can cause a rumbly tummy.
Nothing worse than a rumble - especially that time of night.
How long before you go to bed is your last meal/snack? May be an idea to have a slice of wholemeal bread an hour of so before bed to fill the hole?

I ate like two hours before I went to bed, I think. I have to eat with my evening meds or I get nauseous.

I do eat fast usually. :blushing: I've been trying to slow down but it's hard...old habit, you know?

Welcome to my world. Maybe if you can stomach it, try some oatmeal. That will help fill the stomach and maybe push out anything that sitting in there. There's always reverse bicycles

actually... it might be best you stay away from dairy products until you figure out what it is (here's hoping its only gas) or until you feel better
dairy causes intestinal distress so you may not want to put any added pressure on it if it is something more serious

hope you feel/get better soon, also i hope you manage to get a nap into tired

  • Dairy seems to be one of the only things that doesn't bother me. LOL A lot of foods tend to give me a tummyache.

I've been eating that Kashi hot cereal lately...it's like oatmeal but has lots of different grains in it...yum! 150 cals, 7 g of fiber and 9 g of protein! :noway:

Ah, you talking about Lactose Interance, I suffer with this, but I've never known it to only affect you at night.
Can be very painful, if you have any thoughts that this may be the case, you can be tested by your doctor, who will confirm or deny any intolerance to dairy products.

But, as I say, I've never known it only affect you at night.

I'm not Lactose Intolerant, I'm flat out allergic to milk...it sucks!! lol
I hope that whatever is bothering your stomach leaves it ALONE soon!

I hate too break it to you, but it could be the cereal that's giving you this noisy problem. I sometimes get this way with my beloved Fiber One bars. My stomach starts making all sorts of noises after eating one of those. :embarassed:

LOL maybe. But generally high fiber foods bother my lower belly more so than my actual stomach. Gets things moving.

Hope your tummy is feeling better! If your tummy is typically off track (like my husband's - he has MAJOR stomach issues) a good probiotic can really help. Not the stuff that comes in yogurt. A good one. One you can sprinkle on cold food or in a smoothie. Our tummies need help digesting foods and getting into the right gear. I have had people who used the probiotic even see their acne clear a bit. Amazing what happens when your body is working clean and efficiently.

In the meantime, have an awesome day!!! Blessings of success,

Do you know a brand that I should look for? I used to take Acidophilus (sp?) pills but I never found them helpful.

I'm feeling okay now. Eating a sweet potato for lunch. nom nom nom. )

  • Don't push your stomach in, push it out. It shuts your stomach up immediately!
