My only problems are food and exercise...

I've been using this site since the end of February, and I've recently run into a couple of problems. First, I noticed that my weight loss has slowed way down as I'm getting closer to my goal. Someone suggested increasing my calories so that my goals would have me losing .5 lb/week. It worked immediately! I lost three pounds the week I started that, and that was after about a month of stand still weigh ins. The problem I'm having is that I got so used to eating smaller portions and fewer calories, that now I have a hard time eating all of my calories. Please understand that I run 5 days a week at least 2 miles a day, and many times more. I'm also doing the 30 Day shred. I don't worry about eating all of my exercise calories back, but I try to keep my net above 1200. This sounds like such a wierd problem, and I would've been yelling at the screen not long ago if I had been reading this story written by someone else, but it's true. I'm eating lots of healthy snacks in between meals, and even have chocolate milk after a run, but I find myself with lots of calories left over at the end of the day. I guess my body just needs some time to adjust? What do you guys think?
Problem #2. I have been getting some crazy heartburn when I workout lately. I don't eat immediately before a run or shred, but it's been really bad. It makes my workouts miserable, and it's hard to concentrate on form and quality when my chest and throat are on fire. Has anyone else had this experience? Suggestions?

Bump. Sorry for bumping my own post, but it didn't stay at the top of the list very long, and I'm really curious to hear your responses!0

For problem #2, I have gotten it a few times, but only when I really push myself. I found this:

for #2 try having just a little food 20-60 minutes before you go out. a piece of toast, half a power bar, 1/2 a banana. it'll absorb some of the acid and help keep it down while you move. You can also try a tab of chewable tums (aka calcium) before, that will do the same but I don't think it lasts as long and a little food won't hurt.
for #1- I think it takes a few days to a week for your body to start 'wanting' that higher calorie. Whenever I change my limit it takes a few days to adjust.0
