    weigh the bowl you used...then zero it out and fill it to where you had it and weigh the cereal, it won't be EXACT because you're estimating where you filled it to, but it will tell you if that much fits in that bowl...

    Do this and you'll get the right weight.

    After not really losing weight for a month, I listened to the advice of the people on MFP and started measuring my food. Now I lose almost 2 pounds every week.
    Since I started measuring out my servings, I never have 'leftovers' or half a serving left in the cereal box like I used to. This tells me that I was eating more than the recommended serving and therefore eating more calories than I was logging. Now I measure out 1 cup of cereal and you know what? It's enough and I'm full afterwards.
    So, I doubt you ate 190g of cereal, but you might be eating more than you think. :noway:

    I just weighed some shredded wheat. A generous regular bowl weighed 98g. the bowl was full but not over flowing.
    this was pure shreddies and was not counting the weight of the bowl.
