I actually had someone recommend a "green" smoothie to me. I tried it for the first time this morning and I have to say that I am pleasantly surprised. I put 1 tbsp of ground flax, 2 handfuls of baby spinach, 1 banana, 1 c of milk and blended for a minute or so. Then I added ice to give it a smoothie texture. It had a very mild banana taste and I felt so good afterwards. I will experiment with different fruits and veggies but I like that I can get the flax into my diet this way and meet my daily fruit/veggie requirements. I've stopped buying the meal replacement shakes (they have a high sugar content for the most part) and will start having these shakes for breakfast and/or lunch. If you want to give the smoothies a try there are more recipes at www.greenmonstermovement.com. I highly recommend it! Good luck:)

It never gets mentioned on these things, but I read that green bananas are one of the healthiest things you can eat as you can't digest them, and they are full of dissolvable fibre, which cleans your colon. They are meant to be one of the best cancer-risk-reducing foods.
