Anyone have a good recipes for healthy milkshakes? I mixed one this morning with my daughter - 2 bananas, 2 peaches, skim milk, 1 scoop fat-free frozen yogurt, ice cubes - it was pretty awesome. Now I'm hooked

i make smoothies for breakfast sometime and i call it my kitchen sink smoothie

My personal fave is a chocolate peanut butter one! Mix (using a blender): 8 Ice cubes, 1/3 cup of fat-free vanilla yogurt (I like the Astro brand), 3/4 cup of unsweetened Vanilla Almond Breeze, 2 Tbsp. of Hershey's Sugar-Free chocolate syrup, and 1 Tbsp. of Trader Joe's Better N' Peanut Butter (or you can use REAL peanut butter, but it'll increase the calories by 30), and one Sugar Twin/sweetener packet (optional!)....
130 Calories for a TALL glass, filled to the brim!0 -
I do one for breakfast or dinner once in awhile. I throw in some yogurt, Carnation Instant Breakfast (great chocolate flavor), ice cubes, a bit of milk and half a banana. It comes out thick and delicious. Thin it with a bit more milk if it's too thick for you.0

I have a chocolate pb one that is my go-to meal in a crunch
1 scoop of Chocolate protein powder
1 banana
1 cup of almond milk
1-2 tbsp of peanut butter
Ice to taste.
This is so, so good and even better when you freeze the banana ahead of time. YUM YUM YUM.0 -

Love mine!
Oats, vanilla flavoured protien powder, a banana, cinnamon and skimmed milk!
I also add blueberries or strawberries instead of the banana and sometimes a tsp of peanut butter!0 -
These Choco PB ones sound awesome! I might never eat solids again  And they're so healthy!0

I love banana chocolate cake, so searched around for a good recipe for banana chocolate milkshakes and got this:
1 cup skim milk, 2 tbsp cocoa, 1/3 cup sugar, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 banana.
Put the cocoa and milk in the blender first and blend on low speed till mixed well. Add the sugar, vanilla and banana, then the ice one at a time till smooth.
Can't quite remember the website I got it from. Tried it out a couple of weeks ago and it tastes good! Almost like the real thing :P but feels good to know i'm having that great taste and being healthier about it.0 -
Try using Tarder Joes fat free sour cream instead of yogurt. It may sound a bit crazy, but I wanted a smoothie one morning and that's all I had to work with. I tossed blueberries, a banana, some dole pineapple tidbits (with juice) milk, the sour cream, and 2 ice cubes in. This is basically all I had to put in my smoothie that I was craving and it great!0
