So if you follow these rules 5 days a week
1.eat something within 30 min of waking up
2.eat every 2-3 hours
3.eat 1 serv of lean protein and 2 serv of complex carbs ( remember Fruit is a complex carb ( you need 2 serv a day) but full of natural sugar so eat it with your oatmeal and then after a workout if you are trying to loose weight)
4.limiting the starchy complex carbs to 1-2 hrs after a workout if you are trying to lean out or loose weight
5.Try to Incorporate 1/2 -1 cup of oatmeal a day and 2 egg whites this will give you a great start to the day
So the other 2 days of the week
1.You still want to follow the rules above
2.You get to have a special treat, allow yourselve a glass of wine, fried calamari or that slice of Chocolate cake, I use my cheat days according to what my goals are; If am going to go on a vacation with friends and need to be in my bikini my cheat day will only include 1 glass of wine or a small piece of cake, But if I am just maintaining and I have no weight to loose I may eat bacon and eggs and have a turkey sandwhich with my favorite bread and still eat out for dinner and have a peice of cake and the next day may look the same but come Monday its back to my strict clean eating.
So basically what I am saying is eat healthy the majority of the time following the rules above in the 5 days and you won't have to count calories, and then on the weekend decide according to your goals what your cheat treats should be, 1 glass of wine or a whole day ( not Bingeing but loosening the reigns a little, you should still be aware of what you are eating)
If I was trying to loose weight or lean out I would limit myself to only 1 cheat treat on each of the 2 days, an example saturday night I have a glass of wine and Sunday I have a slice of chocolate cake after dinner ( small piece)
