Today was "Game Day" - a mix of all kinds of sport-related exercises including tennis, swimming, baseball, basketball, mountain climbing... 60 minutes of pure sweat!

Looking forward to my Relief day tomorrow!

Just did Second round of Vertical Plyo.... almost couldn't make myself do it today, but 1130 rolled around and i was kicking myself for missing it so i just got up and did it! going to make for a ROUGH morning tomorrow though! anyway, i really love that workout! it feels like such an accomplishment to be able to do the sick, insane things he wants you to do! plus, i LOVE doing the lateral jumps at the end.

Rest day tomorrow - meaning i will likely lift some weights and do a TurboFire workout - and then Game day on Friday!!

oh and ps. Back to Core? Still sucks! haha

@foreverjade - you think of me and I'll think of you next time we have to do Back to Core! Holding that lunge position for a minute then doing arm flutters KILLS ME! We're in it together and we are in it to win it!

I have completed my first two weeks of Insanity and took my fitness test again the other day. I have increased in every workout except Power Jumps and Globe Jumps. I think the reason for not having an increase with those two workouts is form. I did not have proper form the first time I took the test and after two weeks of doing the moves day in and day out my form has drastically improved.

I also took my measurements again and saw a decrease in my chest / hips / arms for a total of 4 inches. I know 4 inches isn't a lot but in two weeks that is great! I am not losing the weight like I was hoping but my eating habits have not been the best. I am going to start working on that now since I have the program down.

4 inches lost is AWESOME! Great job! I too have not been doing as well as I could with my eating habits. Definitely need to avoid the sweet little snacks I have been sneaking in a couple times/week!

GAME DAY is AWESOME!!!! Seriously loved it. kicked my butt, great calorie burn, yet i didn't feel pain afterwards (unlike the other 2 cardio workouts when my legs are on FIRE). i loved the variety - didn't even notice it was a longer workout bc i was having too good a time to check the clock.

Last week I skipped my first Cardio Abs workout because I ran out of time (I didn't realize I had a second workout to do). I tried to do the Cardio Abs yesterday because I was scheduled for it again and could not complete it!:frown: The movements just didn't come to me. I am hoping that I will eventually be able to get it but right now it feels like a big FAIL because I have been able to do every other DVD.

Try doing the Cardio Abs first and then the regular workout. I found I did much better with it when I did the ab workouts first. And it's never a fail as long as you are trying!

I started at 8 pounds and this last time I did 10 pounds through the whole thing. Thinking about doing some 12's next time. Man... if I did 15 I think my arms would fall off!

@foreverjade - you inspired me to up my weights today... Did 10 pounds for the majority, but did use 15's for the rotationals and 12's for the chest exercises. Who knows what the next time around will bring!

YAYYY!!! I was using 10s for the whole video, and just upped to 15's for the 1 dumbbell exercises. I am going to up to 15s for the chest and back ones next time - it's just that damn dumbbell rotation that there's no way I'd be able to lift the 15s for! I am away this week, but I brought a resistance band, so tonight is strength with the bands. Hopefully it has somewhat the same burn!

I am having a hard time finding space in my hotel room for the agility ladder tapes, so yesterday I did vertical plyo without using the ladder.... but am going to have to substitute Game day and Speed and Agility for Insanity or something I think... Good thing I brought Asylum, Insanity AND TurboFire with me! haha

I am actually on my second week of asylum, and OMG I am loving the program. Asylum is much more intense than insanity. My hubby laugh at me cause I hate that freakin rope jump. When I finish I will be doing the hybrid (p90x & asylum)

I hate that jump rope too! I'm getting better at it but most of the time I throw it aside because it slows me down. I've got two more weeks to go - can't wait to see my final product!

Holy cannoli! Game Day PLUS Overtime today. Seriously, I don't know what Shaun T was thinking! 60 minutes of Game Day isn't enough? Had to add on another 15 minutes of physically demanding jumps and other stuff... WOW is all I can say!

Anyone else have more to share for their workouts? I miss hearing from you all!

I am cutting The Asylum a few days short so I can start practicing for my upcoming certification classes. Made some great progress but most impressed by the extra 3% body fat I lost in just a month! I'll be posting my progress video at some point in the next couple of days!

It was great to have you all here!

Ah, into my last week of Asylum and sad to see you go Melcowen!!! I have been lacking motivation big time!! five days left if i can make myself do it.

on a sidenote, Asylum has totally wrecked my knees. I'm pretty sure it's from wearing shoes on my carpet and probably doing the twisting moves without fully lifting my foot off the ground... either way, my knees are randomly cramping up and sometimes feel like they are going to give out when i am walking! I know, not good. but five more days and I will give them a rest.

That's a bummer! Are you sure you should finish this last week if your knees are not doing well? You want to save those knees for the future!

Even though I've finished Asylum, I'm still here! What will you be doing for your next workout?

Yea, I will just have to be more careful doing the twisting stuff. i can't quit now!!!

I have no idea what to do after Asylum!! I went from TurboFire to Insanity to Asylum and now am scared that nothing else will be intense enough for me... I am thinking of running again, i haven't done much this year at all, but other than that, some sort of weird hybrid maybe?

What are you doing now?? or have any ideas for me?

I have been MIA for about 10 days. I was on vacation... well a stay-cation of sorts but still a vacation. We did go out of town for 3 nights, luckily the past 7 days have been my recovery week from Insanity so I skipped those workouts. I did continue with my bike riding and some other cardio but I did not follow Shaun T and his recovery week DVD. I start again tomorrow with month 2 and should finish around the 26th of July. I am going out of town for two days in there so it might be pushed back to a finish date of the 28th or 29th of July.

I am looking forward to month 2 but am also scared! The 60 minute workouts scare me! LOL, I really just need to work them into my schedule and stick to it!

@foreverjade - I would definitely recommend a hybrid. I've done P90X and Insanity as a hybrid and I've done Chalean Extreme with TurboFire. Definitely enjoyed the latter better. Right now, I'm preparing for some certification classes I'm (attempting) to complete in July - for Hip Hop Hustle, Turbokick, and PiYo (all Chalene Johnson programs). In between, I'm throwing in some TF because I love it! After I'm done with my certs, I think I'm just going to wing it day by day for a little while. I have a huge collection of Beachbody workouts now so I can just pick out what I want to do for that day.

@112girl - Yep! 3% body fat gone in a month. I was shocked because all my other measurements pretty much stayed the same - but definitely lost some belly fat! I actually enjoyed Asylum more than I did Insanity. Insanity felt like it was never going to end, whereas Asylum is easier to focus on because it's only 30 days. I don't mind the hard core workouts here and there but doing them day in and day out gets old for me. I want to have fun when I'm working out!

@simplysara9 - glad to have you back! Keep up the good work. It's great that you stayed active while taking a vacation!

I am having so much fun learning Hip Hop Hustle and doing whatever workout I feel like doing each day! There are so many I want to do that I wish I had more than an hour every day to fit them in!

How about you? What are you doing today?

I'm also doing random workouts every day! I did Turbo Jam on Monday and could not BELIEVE how slow it was compared to TurboFire! I want to do some level 2 Hip Hop Abs today bc I remember thinking it was hard before! I saw your workout on my home page today and it made me smile; it's a hip hop day!

I think after this week I'm going to start the Asylum/insanity hybrid... but we'll see how long my body holds up doing that! Especially because I'm climbing again and playing soccer as well. The schedule is going to need some adjusting!

Sooooo.... I'll be starting P90X again as of 9/5/11. Would love to have some of you lovely ladies join me here again for another 90 days of support! I have other people doing TurboFire and Chalean Extreme so it can be any workout program. I'd love to help support you too.
