This may sound daft. But why are sweets fattening ?
I've found so many name brand sweets that have 0g of fat in them and fairly low in calories.
So how do they make you fat ? What's the process ?

You'll probably get alot of "MFP University Graduate" responses, but the simplicity of it is that sugar turns into fat when not used.

Most "sweets' are basically flavoured sugar bereft of any nutritional value whatsoever despite their having a nutrition label on them... funny how a chocolate bar has a nutrition label and a banana doesn't ;) I think I'll choose more of the natural stuff.

So it's empty calories that if you have lots of them and eat your regular meals you're getting empty calories (like my pizza the last couple nights since despite a 600 calorie hit they didn't keep me full like a chicken breast and a serving of rice and steamed veggies would have... can't imagine what a 600 calorie plate of that would look like!
