Hi everyone,

I'm Katie and I just started using the Fitness Pal this week. So far, so good -- I've been keeping within my calories (1280) a day and doing circuit training everyday for about 45 minutes.

I'm hoping to lose 20 pounds this summer and get rid of the "Freshman 15" I put on in college. This is the first diet I've ever tried and I'm quite amazed at the calories in several foods. I'm pretty scared to go out to eat now that I know how bad a lot of these foods are for you. Any suggestions on how you handle eating out?

The only silly things about me starting this is I don't have a scale. I searched all over Wal-Mart yesterday for one and couldn't find one! Where in the world does that store hide them? :)

    Welcome! I've just joined today and looking forward to tracking again - did weight watchers previously and miss jotting things down. Can't believe this site is free and it's great sharing stories with people from all over (i'm in the UK!)

    All of our supermarkets sell scales so i'm sure you'll find one somewhere! May be look online?
