Here's my question, is there an easier way (I'm new here) to track your food if it's a recipe you made yourself? I make this veggie side dish and the only way I can tell to add it is to add every ingredient on it's own cause I wouldn't know how to add all the nutrition value info as a whole dish, does that make sense? ~lol~ And the options I have are more than I ate, and because of that, I'm over my protein, and maybe I really am, I'm just curious. Thanks!

Yes, go to recipes under the food tab, you can enter each ingredient and the number of servings and it will tell you the nutritional info per serving. You can then visit the recipe tab again to add it to your food diary whenever you have it. Very simple.

Create it as a Recipe under the food tab. Then once it's in there you can add it as a serving any time.

There is a way to create a "Recipe" where as you add ingredients, the calorie total is reflected above; then you can save it to use it again. I believe this is how you find it: when you "Add" a food, choose a meal/ time, there is a tab that you can choose, "Recipes". At the bottom, there is a tab/ button that says "Create a New Recipe". Hope that answers your question!

What they said is correct you should try it that way and it will be much easier for you to input. The other thing I wanted to tell you is that it is ok to be over in your protein because protein builds muscle which burns fat. I try and go over or eat least eat all of my proetin and fiber every day.

Thanks ladies! I figured it out...and thanks for letting me know it's okay to go over my proteins, I ended up not but it's nice to know it's not the end of the world if I do. There's so much I still need to learn. Thanks again!

You are very welcome! Ultimately I pay attention to 4 things: calories, fat, sodium, & water intake; everything else just kind of falls into place. I don't scrutinize my diary unless something is not working, ie plateau, workouts are off, don't feel well.
