MFP has been great! It really kicked started my weight loss but now that I'm down to the last 10lbs nothing is happening. I am commiting myself to sticking to my calorie and exercise goal for the month of June. My hope is that I will lose at least 5 or the last 10lbs. Anyone else struggling with the last few pounds? Or has anyone achieved their goal? How did u manage to fight thru until the end?

I'd love to know too! I was within like a half pound of goal weight and then gained a pound back and didn't slack on exercise or calorie tracking.....last bit doesn't seem to want to budge!

Create a smaller calorie deficit near the end. Try 250 cal/day deficit instead of 500.
  • I am not at goal and have about 30 lbs left, but I have been stuck for over a month. It is really frustrating and hard to stay on track when the scale does not move. Hang in there and keep up the great work. I figure I will get to my goal sometime and will keep plugging along until I do.

he so knows what he is talking about. Sometimes you need to eat more just to burn. I ran my engine on lean for the first 80lbs, now I have hit the wall and running a bit more rich. the pounds are starting to melt away again. It may take a little bit longer but isnt it worth the trip of looking so good and feeling so good.

Well the last time I was less than 10 pounds from my target weight was 6 years ago after my first son. I just kept increasing my exercising, but maintaining my intake. It took a few weeks, but eventually the last 5 finally came off. Those 5 were always the hardest to keep off, though. In any event, maybe you could try increasing your intensity, incorporating resistance training, or both.
