wow! way cool & unexpected

The end of last september I was having trouble getting in to my 38 waist slacks. I had to suck in my gut & hold my breath and even then I could just barely get them buttoned.

But I couldn't bear the thought of buying 40s. So I changed my diet and started doing some cardio. I january I started adding a little strength training.

I didn't take pictures or measurements when I started, figuring the scale number would be plenty to go by. And it's been good to me... from 228 initially to 176 today.

But nothing was a rush like day before yesterday when I went shopping for new slacks and slipped into 34s comfortably! So I guess I can figure I've lost something like 5 inches off my waist!
