I am wondering if I'm taking this too far. I set an original goal of 15 pound loss- made that, reset to 20 pound loss- now have met that goal and I don't want to stop. I am 5'4", currrently 133 lbs, down from an all time high at one point of 158 lbs. I do believe there is such a thing as too skinny and hubby has already said, dont go too low....but to be 125 again! Then will I say oh wait, how about 115 again??? Am I obsessing? I have to be honest and admit I only set the 15 pound loss goal because I really didnt think this would work and didnt want to be disappointed.....but IT DOES WORK and I just cant seem to stop! Advice???

i wish I had some advice for you but I do not. I just wanted to let you know that you look great as you are already and you certainly do NOT need to lose anymore! You look fabulous!0

check in with your doctor - you're looking great! if there's still some shakiness (flab) that you want to tighten up - go for it. But if not, don't risk your long term health by doing too much.
congrats on your success!0 -
I can relate, I am 5'4" and started this recent journey at 147 and have just dipped below 130. I still have some fat around the belly and thighs I want to lose and start to really build the lean muscle. I have no idea what weight that will ultimately end up being, I am more looking at getting my bodyfat % down in the active to the low average range...and drop another pants size.
I am also trying to change my focus from weight goals to fitness goals, what challenges can I take on and complete.0 -
You look amazing as you are!
What's the healthy weight range for your height? I say aim for the middle of the range, that way you can afford to gain a bit or lose a bit when you move to maintenance.0 -
I think you look great, but it's up to you! I"m 5'2" and aiming for somewhere in the 120-125 range, although I'm more concerned with being happy with what I see in the mirror, and being healthy and in shape, than I am with getting to a particular number.0

As long as you are being healthy about the weight loss and staying in your target BMI range, you should be fine. Maybe talk with a doctor/nutritionist to see what would be a good goal for you. However, I agree that you look great and don't need to lose any more weight!0

I'm having some of the same thoughts.............started at 143 with a goal to lose 10. Got to 133 and decided to go for 128. Then decided to go to 125 (the weight my doc said I'd never see again after I hit 40). Hit that last week and started upping my calories in order to gradually get to maintenance mode. I weighed 123.2 this morning, didn't even log it here because it just doesn't seem real to me that I am still losing. Hubby and my parents say I've lost too much, saw someone yesterday that I haven't seen since I started here and he said "don't lose anymore". I spent most of my 20's and 30's at 125, it was after 40 that I gained. In my early 20's I spent a little time at 116 and when I look at those pics I realize how terrible I looked but I couldn't really see it then. Intellectually I know 125 is a good weight for me.
So, what I've decided to do is stick to my original plan of 125, gradually ramping up my calories to get to maintenance. If I continue to lose as I am ramping up the calories, then I'll know my body is "OK" with that. And if I stop losing and stay right where I am, then I'll know my body is "OK" with that. In other words, I am not going to TRY to lose any more, I'm going to let my body tell me where it needs to be. However, I have mentally set 120 as the "threshold" that I know I can't go below. If that happens I will need to re-think my strategy.0 -

check out this post and see what you think. I feel that when you get to a certain point the scale shouldn't matter. good luck on your new life style.:drinker:
PS I think you look great where you are now for what its worth. focus on being healthy and fit.0 -
My suggestion is to stop aiming for a certain number on the scale and start focusing on performance goals. Just a thought. And you look great!:flowerforyou:0
