Go to your web browser and type in Body Fat Calculator and you cnd find several. You'll need to measure your waist, wrist and hips in addition to height and weight.
This is a good on too http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/
I have a scale that measures it, but it is very dependent on water weight and fluctuates a lot. But when I enter the measurements into the calculators I've found online, they're usually right on target!
Good Luck!!0 -
here is a great site for that and other calculators

Ok, I have a major correction to make...my body fat calculation is completely off compared to my scale!! Duuuhhhhh!!! Not sure WHAT the scale is reading!! Maybe it's reading the actual amount of "fat". I plugged in my numbers to the calculator and my body fat is 27.2%, but my scale is showing like 43, but I'm thinking that's amount of pounds or something and not actually % of fat. Been looking at my scale wrong all this time! But happy to know I'm only 27.2% body fat!!!!!0

That is very unsettling. According to that, I've lost hardly any body fat at all. I started measuring myself in March, and have only lost a few inches off my waist, but I'm still VERY large. Comparing my three months worth of data, I've lost 10 pounds of fat and 18 pounds of lean weight. That really doesn't seem right. *worried*0

Now it's REALLY weird. I did another calculator that took waist, hips, wrist, & forearm as well as weight, and it says my body fat is 28.91%, instead of the 39% or 40% I was getting at the other one (just waist measurement & weight). The whole thing is just frustrating to me!0

I can't understand how a scale can read body fat. It probably just goes by weight. The only true way to get accurate body fat is in water believe it or not. Even calipers, if they pinch belly fat from just having a baby will give a higher reading even if the rest of your body is tone. I would go with that site. Looking at your pics 27 sounds closer to you.0 -
I weigh 170 pounds 5'5" and my body fat is 29% .... ahhhh 50 lbs of fat. My sister weighed 235 5'2" and went to the doctor and they told her, her body fat was 40 something.0

The above was suppose to be a quote from.....gaveup
My scale continues to show around low 40's as my body fat%, depending on water weight that day. However, when I do calculations, it comes up to 27%! Weird! That's why I bought the scale and have relied on it all this time!! But now, I just ignore it! It does sho my BMI correctly though.0 -
A scale that reads body fat sends a tiny electrical current through your body, which is why people with pacemakers can't use them. But the reading is still affected by how hydrated your body is, so I can't say how truly accurate they are.0

My scale give me a 30.6% body fat. The calculators give me 26% body fat. Since I wear size 6 pants, I think the online calculators are a bit more accurates0

20% to 22% range: My scale
25.76%: http://www.bmi-calculator.net/body-fat-calculator/ <--- This calculator doesn't like me! :noway:
21.22%: http://www.livestrong.com/tools/body-fat-calculator/
^^ This one is just like the livestrong: http://www.linear-software.com/online.html except it also shows lean body mass and pounds of fat.
So going with 21.22% I have 27.37 pounds of body fat leaving me with a lean muscle mass of 101.63. Interesting!
Anyway, these pounds better be coming off from my hips and thighs so I can fit back into my shorts before school gets back in session.0
