No Air Conditioning. 90 degrees. Insanity.

The second month of Insanity is hard enough in a perfectly air conditioned home. Now, try and do it in 90 degree heat and humidity. Why oh why did my air conditioner have to take a crapper on Memorial Day weekend? My pool isn't opened yet either. Sorry, just venting but I do have a question....
Do you think I burned more calories working out in these conditions? I know I was darn near heat exhaustion and I am still sick to my stomache. I am definately rehydrating but do I need to eat more today too?

heat does not make much of a difference in calories burned. You may lose more on the scale, but that would be due to more water lose (seating) not real weight loss, and the water will come back on once you rehydrate.0

You won't burn more calories in the heat but you will definitely need to replenish the water you lost.
85 outside today for my walk and I was drenched when I got back, polished off 24 oz of water no problem and am still thirsty lol0 -
I also have no air conditioner. i moved into this apartment last year and have only experienced one DEATHLY summer where I did not do much, lol. I am not excited for this summer either (though we are getting air conditioning ASAP).
Anyway, I would say you DEFINITELY burned more calories due to the conditions you are working out it, and if you are feeling dehydrated, make sure you are drinking plenty of water (I know you said you have been). You may want to eat a little more calories to make up for the loss, or maybe you could google to try and find a calulator that works with temperature? I'm not sure how significant of a difference the heat would make. Sorry0 -
Thanks. I wasn't sure, and I find it hard to eat all my calories to begin with. I am really trying hard to keep motivated but this heat is making it so hard!0

We sometimes have two fans blowing at the same time while during Insanity.0

How do you stay motivated? I have to literally force myself to workout! Or do anything, really. lol0

I had a powerful fan blowing straight on me the whole time. It helped a little..... Wow, I am such a baby. lol0

You are not a baby - I live in Phoenix and 90 degree heat and higher can be very, very dangerous! Please be careful - heat stroke can come on very quickly! Even with the air conditioner on, we also have two fans running while we work out and are constantly drinking to keep hydrated.
If you start to get over heated, stop, re-hydrate and get in front of a fan or in a cool shower to cool your body down.
I absolutely admire your dedication! Insanity is a tough, tough workout - keep up the great work!0
