Goal is to take in more protein and a few less carbs. Goal states can have 165 carbs and only 45 g of protein. Any thoughts

    Ignore it. I don't really take any notice of those goals. I always eat way more protein than it says, and alot less carbs, and it hasn't done me any harm with my diet. I concentrate on minimal sugar and fat .....

    Welcome, MFP sets the goals as 55% carbs which I think is on the high side but you can change it by doing the following

    Click home at the top of the page, then goals,
    scroll down the page and click change goals,
    on the page that opens click custom
    you can then change your percentages of carbs, protein and fat and click save
