core strength

hi!
ok i have come to realise i have absolutely No core strength! Im starting to do exercises to target this but i was just curious as to how long/ frequency before i notice improvements?

    Pilates, pilates, and more pilates and planks.

    When I first started doing yoga I had a really hard time holding the plank position. I was always the first one in the class to quit it. It took about 4-5 weeks of my doing it 2x a week before I could hold it as long as the instructor. Everyone is different though, just be patient, it will come.

    im doing alot of planks(it hurts :) ) never realised how bad my core strength was
