Ouch!! I feel the burn, now what?

Hello Friends out there in fitness land,
I have just recently started getting into shape, I've been jogging lately and I'm noticing that I can go so much longer when I listen to music and tell myself positive things like "Keep Going" "Almost There!"

But what I want to know is, what makes YOU push through the pain?
What do you personally think about when it feels like an alien is nibbling on your muscles while lighting them on fire?

I'm thinking that maybe your ideas can help me also.

    My biggest motivator is seeing the results. The clothes I put aside saying "I'll fit into those again someday" being too big for me now. Watching the numbers on the scale go down, or watching my Mii get smaller on the screen. The way my muscles feel, wood vs cookie dough, getting the body I used to have and even better.

    These things make me want to go back and do even more.
