Hi there! I'm not really new to My Fitness Pal (I've been trying to log for the past month), but I am new to the forums. So, I thought I would introduce myself.
I'm a Stay At Home Mom of one (so far), happily married and not happy with my weight. LOL!  I've been trying to keep a diary of my food intake for the past month or so. Some days I'm better than others. But I keep trying anyway. Prior to my first pregnancy I was already overweight; weighing in at 186 lbs. After pregnancy I topped out at 232 lbs. and thought to myself,"WHOA, what happened to me??" So decided to change; or try to. At my last weigh-in, I weighed 212 lbs. YAY!
For me, it's not all about how much I weigh, but it's also how I feel and how my clothes fit. I have a few pairs of size 12 rockies that I'm not willing to part with. LOL! I'm determined to get back in them and hopefully get to the point where I have to go buy smaller ones!
What I'm trying to do for weight loss so far...
- Some kind of cardio. I try to go walking with my sis-in-law when I can. I have to work around hubby's work schedule so sometimes I'm not able to go walking with her. She goes at a set time, so sometimes I either go just me and my young'in or find something around the house to get in exercise... be it gardening, mowing, cleaning or a workout video.
- Trying to watch my diet. Not really starving myself, because that would NEVER work for me! LOL! But more like monitoring what I put in my mouth and trying to keep myself accountable by logging it in my food diary.
I know it's not much, but seeing how I used to be a size 4 my senior year... I KNOW I'm not supposed to be this heavy. I'm not trying to get to a size 4 again, but I would like to like myself in the weight department again... LOL! The BMI index put my ideal weight around 135 lbs., so that's why I chose that goal weight. I think I would probably be happy around the 150's though.
For now... I think a good first goal for me (since I'm so close anyway) would be to get under, and STAY UNDER 200 lbs.
I guess that'll sum it up for me for now...
Much Love!!

Welcome! I'm in the over 200+ club too I think you'll find this site very helpful and the food diary is the best. I don't think I could do this without it.
Good luck with your journey!0
