We have walk and trot on here, but what do you log canter and gallop as? Or jumping for that matter! I don't have a HRM (but I REALLY want one!).

I haven't ridden with my HRM yet (just got it this spring) but I can't wait to see what it says. I've used this for different things....

I'm dying to gallop one at the track and find out what that burns!0 -
Well last week I did an hour's riding lesson - walk, trot, canter and jumping - and according to my Polar FT4 used 520 cals. The week before that (just flatwork, walk, trot and canter) was 450 cals.
Though, it does depend on what horse I ride - there's one I'm terrified of so my HR is through the roof before we even move LOL and on that lesson it said I burned 745 cals!!!!!!0
