Strange soreness after running - hip?

Hi all,
I'm on week four of the c25k program - and am up to mostly running (some walking) about 1.5 mi in 30 minutes. I've started getting a strange soreness in an unexpected place - my outer hip.
It's on my right side only, kind of right on top of my pelvis bone down about 6". Kind of right where I would probably clip a phone to my hip if that helps.
A friend of mine suggested it might be shoe related. My shoes are pretty new, Asic's, that were professionally fitted and "analyzed" to correct for pronation. I've put about 100-150 miles on them.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Thanks,
PC

I would say it's probably just your body adjusting. I'm often sore after certain workouts, that's how I know my body is changing.
If, however, your pain is severe enough not to continue, then you are injured and probably just need to rest for a while. Everyone gets aches and pains xxx0 -
I have the same problem. I thought maybe it was shoe related as well, so I bought new sneakers this weekend, but I haven't tried them out yet. I told myself if it doesn't go away in a few days I'm going to go to the doctor for it.0

Sounds like your IT band Google some stretches for that issue.0

Are you running on the road? It could be from the curve in the road - if so. One leg has to go slightly farther to hit the ground than the other. It could cause that strain.0
