So, this girl I work with eats Cheerios for breakfast with a cup of fiberone cereal on top of it. She's counting points with weight watchers and says that the cup of cereal does not count for any points because it's high in fiber. In my opinion, food is food and everything that has calories should be counted. That's 120 calories for the fiberone cereal alone...granted it's healthy and all but shouldn't it be counted...I would log that if I ate it on MFP...I would never say anything to her but I was just wondering. How can certain foods not count for anything just because they have a lot of fiber? Has anyone found the points system to work better than MFP? I mean, both "diets" are based on healthy eating so neither should be discounted, but I think she would have more success if she counted cals instead of points.....

High in fiber or not, it counts because it has calories. Let her go though--some people have to learn for themselves. Keep up with the MFP routine, then when you get all healthy looking, she'll probably be asking you how you did it!
