It's a sad day today in a good way. My favorite dress shirt is now too big on me. Also, I'm almost on the last hole of my belt. Time to head up to the attic and dig out some older smaller clothes.

Last month, I gave away pretty much my entire wardrobe of dress pants/work pants, and it was a bittersweet moment for me, too. However, in looking in my closet for something to wear this morning, I felt truly liberated by the empty space where they used to hang. Tayloring proved to be as expensive as buying new. Congratulations on your NSV, and good luck.

If you are wearing Van Heusen or Haggar or something, then yes, that would be true. I imagine though that his *favorite* dress shirt is probably that $45,000 Eton shirt. You know, or at least Brooks Brothers or Ralph Lauren or Gucci or something...

Man, you must know me. I mean a $45k shirt is like a drop in the bucket. :)

Fortunately, I do like to shop. I'm going to wait a little while longer and then get out there and do some damage. I forgot how good it feels to be skinnier and actually willing to shop.
