Looking for a good 10k training program, preferably one that has some built-in strength training so I'm not just guessing a what to do.

Have you encountered any that have worked for you?

Try this website it might help: http://www.coolrunning.com/engine/2/2_4/138.shtml (Beginner 10K Program)

I have also heard of Ease Into 10K and Bridge To 10K. If you Google those, you might come up with information as well.

    Good luck!

I don't know of an official 'program,' I just did mine on my own. Depending on how much time you have, the intervals would be different, but I trained by running three times a week and doing strength training three times a week. I started with my max mileage at the time which was about a 5k and added half a mile every week until I was up to the ~6 miles that make up a 10k. Mixed in there I just did a lot of body weight workouts. I don't know if it would work for everyone, but I actually do the 10k as my run just for cardio and I'm training for a half marathon.

I've followed a lot of 5k, 10k and half marathon training programs and really have found that borrowing a little from everything and just kind of having variety has made me kick some serious *kitten* in the speed improvement arena. Hal Hidgon is my favorite thus far if you are just looking for something to work right from. And for a strength program I would do a google search for "Nerd Fitness Beginner" It's a beginner body weight circuit that should get you going.
